we take stock!

At the end of the year, the FFTT draws the first assessment of dismissal for the current season. The cover of 150,000 licensees crossed, feminization, clear development of leisure licenses and clubs above, find the important information to remember, in 5 main points.

1. Passed the milestone of 150,000 licensees!

In November, we passed the milestone of 150,000 licensees. A record high for this time of year. Achieved mainly thanks to the work of our leagues, committees and clubs, this milestone is an important step in the development of the Federation.

Mélanie, a leisure practitioner in adapted sport at the Vierzon club, had the pleasure of becoming our 150,000th graduate of the 2022/2023 season. We went to see him a few days ago.

The French Table Tennis Federation now has almost 159,000 members in its ranks, the level reached at the end of last season! The dynamic continues throughout the territory!

2. The share of women increases slightly

Our discipline has always suffered from a lack of female graduates. This is a big fight of the federal project brought by Gilles Erb. Thus, the share of women increases, each time, reaching 15% today, or 23,160 licensees. In comparison, it was 13% at the end of the 2020-2021 season. Feminization is slowly progressing and FFTT wishes to emphasize this progress.

3. A clear development in leisure training

Another finding of our assessment: leisure training is clearly developing. If at the end of the 2020/2021 season the number of recreational licensees was 42,209 and 65,206 at the end of the previous season, there are currently 61,564 recreational licenses!

Proof that the practice of sport is changing in France and Table Tennis. The physical and social benefits, the cheerfulness and the accessibility of our discipline as well as the pleasure it represents and the competence of our supervisors attract more French people, while competition licenses maintain a stable level.

4. Top clubs!

Our territory is rich with more than 3100 clubs! A stable level thanks to the thousands of volunteers who work every day to revive French Table Tennis and continue its development.

Our Federation can rely on a unique territorial network. Ping clubs are present everywhere in France and ready to accept new licenses. Clubs with few licensees with great kindness or bigger clubs that attract more players, every season.

FFTT today highlights their dynamics and congratulates them for welcoming so many table tennis players to this Top 20 club of licensees.
