The Game Awards 2023 event is just around the corner and if you want to know the program, the time of the conference as well as the games that will be presented, you have come to the right place.

What is The Game Awards 2023?

The Game Awards is a ceremony organized and produced by presenter Geoff Keighley that mixes awards and announcements.

A jury made up of a hundred media and influencers choose a series of games (nominees) that can win various prizes such as game of the year, best soundtrack or best artistic direction. Winners are announced live.

Which games will be featured at The Game Awards?

If the event is highly watched, it’s because it includes a lot of game announcements. Some were also announced years before they came out, for example the case of Hellblade 2, which was announced for the first time at the Game Awards 2019.

Officially, between 30 and 40 games will feature new ones during the event. Some games are already out, but others will be completely new. We know that the longest conference trailer will last 4 to 5 minutes

Games confirmed

• Skylight, the new fantasy action game from Airship Syndicate, will be unveiled at The Game Awards. We know few details about the title, except that Skylight is also the city where the game takes place and is the “last bastion of hope for humanity and a place you’ll call home”.
• Josef Fares’ new game (It Takes Two) must be announced! The creator confirmed in an interview at the beginning of November that he will be in the game.
• Tekken 8 is present and it is likely that a release date will be hinted at in the trailer on this occasion.
• 505 Games and Epic Games will announce a new game. We already know that it will take place in the city of Rockay City, all in realistic style.
• Destiny 2 will have its moment as the Eclipse expansion will be revealed in a trailer during the event.

Rumors and unconfirmed games

• Hideo Kojima is highly expected to be in attendance one way or another at The Game Awards 2022. The creator has been ramping up the teases in recent weeks and Death Stranding 2 is among the potential announcements.
• The Lords Of The Fallen: the gameplay of the game should be officially presented at the end of the year. There is almost no doubt that this will be the case during the event.
• Star Wars Jedi: Survivor should come with a trailer, and announce its release date at the same time. The latest rumor mentions the month of March 2023.
• A new Crash Bandicoot game could be announced if we are to believe the clues Activision left in a pizza box.
• Final Fantasy XVI should launch its pre-orders during the ceremony.
• Diablo IV may be discussed again during the ceremony. The first version of the game can be played at the event that, let’s remember, welcomes the public this year.
