A rate hike of 50 basis points is widely expected. Its president, Jerome Powell, is expected on the outlook for rate changes in 2023. On the stock side, Horizon Therapeutics jumped more than 15% after an agreement for its acquisition by Amgen. The Dow Jones closed with a gain of 1.58% at 34,005.54 points and the Nasdaq Composite gained 1.26% at 11,143.74 points.
