Morning meeting AOF France / Europe – Slight increase expected ahead of US inflation
(AOF) – European markets are expected to rise following Wall Street, which extended its gains in the second half of the session. However, caution should continue to reign in the markets ahead of inflation numbers in the United States in November at 2:30 pm, the first major economic meeting of the week. Economists expect average inflation excluding energy and food to be 0.3% compared to October and 6.1% on an annual basis. Neoen will follow after winning several contracts.

Quadient has announced that a fourth international carrier has joined its open UK parcel locker network. The latter is being deployed. Global players DPD UK and DHL are the first carriers to officially confirm their adoption of the Quadient network. “The names of two other international carriers will be confirmed as soon as they make the new service available to their customers”, specified the operator of connected parcel lockers and specialist in customer communication management technologies.
Neoen
Neoen, a French independent company in the production of exclusively renewable energy, announced that it won 180 megawatts (MW) of solar and wind projects during the last government call for tenders in France managed by the Commission de Régulation de l’Energie and that Neoen came out with the highest ability assigned. This 180 MW is broken down into 11 projects ranging from 12 to 22.8 MW. In keeping with its model, Neoen is the majority shareholder in each of these projects.
Remy Cointreau
The glass bottle is infinitely reusable. Eiffage, through the Eiffage Concession, has acquired almost 75% of the Sun’R Group, a percentage of ownership that will increase to more than 80% by 2023. The balance of the capital will be maintained by the founder Antoine Nogier and of the management team. The operation was carried out by buying back existing shares in conjunction with a capital increase fully subscribed by Eiffage. Created in 2007, Sun’R Group, a company with a mission, acts to accelerate agricultural and energy transitions, thereby responding to the consequences of global warming.
Macroeconomic numbers
The composite consumer price index, which allows comparison between European countries, remained stable in November in Germany, confirmed Destatis, the federal statistics office. The annual inflation rate was also confirmed at 11.3%.

Technology stocks (Dassault Systèmes, Thales, Worldline) led the CAC 40 following slightly lower US long rates. Sanofi fell slightly even after it gave up on making an offer for Horizon Therapeutic. The area’s flagship index in Paris lost 0.41% to 6,650.55 points.
Yesterday on Wall Street
US markets extended their gains in the second half of the session. Investors will watch inflation numbers on Tuesday and the Fed’s decision on Wednesday. A rate hike of 50 basis points is widely expected. Its president, Jerome Powell, is expected on the outlook for rate changes in 2023. On the stock side, Horizon Therapeutics jumped more than 15% after an agreement for its acquisition by Amgen. The Dow Jones closed with a gain of 1.58% at 34,005.54 points and the Nasdaq Composite gained 1.26% at 11,143.74 points.
