These characters are often depicted as having flaws, vices, or negative traits that make them complex and ambiguous.
This year, the whole world (or almost) is holding its breath for the highly anticipated Baldur’s Gate III, twenty years after the last game in the series. Baldur’s Gate is a role-playing video game developed by BioWare and published by Interplay Entertainment in 1998. It is based on the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2nd Edition role-playing game system.
The game takes place in the fictional region of Faerûn, in the world of “houses” universe of Dungeons and Dragons The Forgotten Kingdom. Baldur’s Gate received great critical acclaim and is considered one of the best role-playing games ever made. The game won numerous awards and was widely praised for its storytelling and gameplay. It was followed by two major sequels, Baldur’s Gate II: Shadows of Amn and Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance.
A beta version of this third chapter was launched in October 2020, which allowed to discover the first 25 hours and approximately… a fifth of the total playable map. Baldur’s Gate III is set for an official, full release in August 2023 after nearly three years of early release.
