The chance to meet new characters | cross the nine kingdoms of Norse mythology. The icing on the cake, the gameplay is mastered… In short, unmissable one.
Horizon Forbidden West
We continue with another PlayStation exclusive: Horizon Forbidden West, the sequel to the highly regarded Horizon Zero Dawn, released in 2017. Yes, it took five years to discover Aloy’s new adventures, which Guerrilla arguably did not studio n. do things in half! It’s simple, every aspect of the base game has been improved… the direction, the gameplay, the storytelling. The result is a particularly remarkable adventure that is not us not willing to forget. Yes, for thirty hours of playing, you will not stop meeting characters, visiting new places, fighting with increasingly impressive animal-machines. A success.
Elden Ring
Well, you’ve definitely heard of this one: Elden Ring, the latest project from the FromSoftware studio (Dark Souls, Sekiro, Bloodborne). Yes, he won the famous Game of the Year prize at the Game Awards 2022. A well-deserved reward – in our opinion… For a first “open world” production, the Japanese team presented a wonderful knowledge , manages to transpose libot | the gameplay of a Dark Souls in a huge map ! More importantly, the company’s average difficulty curve is more affected. It is possible to explore at will before facing the hardest boss. Not to mention the artistic direction, impeccable.
A Plague Tale Requiem
After an episode that was highly appreciated by gamers, the A Plague Tale license returns with A Plague Tale Requiem, a direct sequel to the 2019 episode. We see Amicia and Hugo, a famous sibling duo, who forced to take risks as the mysterious illness of the little boy awakened. It was enough to force them to explore many cities in France, which were still plagued by the plague, but also made new enemies. Beyond the founding component, Requiem reveals itself as a touching story and violent, which will take its heroes further than in the past. Brought to a high level of realization and a fair writing, A Plague Tale Requiem is one of the great adventures of the year.
Tunic
It has the gameplay of a Dark Souls, a world full of secrets, but very cute graphics and a little fox as a hero, it’s Tunic, of course… Let’s not lose, it’s undoubtedly one of our big favorites of the year. More than just an homage to Zelda with challenging gameplay, it’s an absolutely awesome exploration-puzzle game. As a hero who arrives (unannounced) outside of a vast area, you have to understand the last’s smallest tasks. To help you, the developers have hidden the pages of a real paper game manual, like in the heyday of the NES… A chunk to discover.
Cult of the Lamb
Come on, let’s continue our little favorite section on Cult of the Lamb, developed by Massive Monsters studio and published by the famous Devolver Digital! This is a game that is a mixture of rogue-lite and management game, as you have to take care of a demonic cult. Yes yes, you read that right. At Cult of the Lamb you can recruit followers, build them a home, dictate sermons to them – with the aim of becoming more powerful. The ultimate goal is to defeat the demons who cursed your death. For this last point, you have to go to randomly generated areas, defeat bosses, collect resources! A mix of genres that works like hell.
The Last Of Us Part 1
In a completely different genre, here comes The Last of Us Part 1, a remake of the first episode of The Last of Us, originally released in 2013 on PS3. An almost exclusively graphical overhaul in this case. Yes, the Naughty Dog teams have brought up to date the meeting of Ellie | Joel, for a result that looks like The Last of Us Part 2 in even better ! In terms of gameplay, almost nothing has changed. The remake is above all an opportunity to immerse yourself again in the incredible adventure of these two cult characters, made more emotional thanks to a new game engine. If you don’t know The Last of Us… now is the time to start.
Gran Turismo 7
After emotions, is speed your interest? Then you should check out this Gran Turismo 7, released earlier this year on PS5 (but also on PS4). “It’s the back to basics everyone’s been waiting for” suggests the title of our test, with its ‘RPG car game’ component. Among other things, we can see here a GT Mode just as effective. The idea is to complete quests, unlock vehicles as you go, participate in increasingly high level races. This is of course not the only title mode. There is also “Sport”, dedicated to online competition and a whole group of circuits and vehicles. All in all: a very good episode that will please fans of the genre.
Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion
While the year 2023 promises to be very busy on the Final Fantasy license side (a sixteenth episode, the sequel to the remake of FFVII), for now, we have the rights to the Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion “remake / remaster ” from the popular PSP video game, originally released in 2008 (it’s not making us any younger, so to speak). If you do not know the topic, it is simple: the project takes place seven years before the story of Final Fantasy VII and allows you to understand many things about the “lore” of this episode. Here, the player represents Zack, a member of the SOLDIER in the same way as Cloud and Sephiroth. On the scenario side, nothing has changed, but there is something new for gameplay and visuals.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
It returns every year and often promises to be necessary: it’s Tawag ng Tanghalan. For 2022, we have the rights to Modern Warfare 2, sequel to the reboot of Modern Warfare (2019 version). The chance to reunite with Task Force 141 – featuring stars like Ghost, Price, etc – as a new threat is about to emerge. As usual, there is a rather remarkable realism and very successful shooting sensations, whether in solo or multiplayer. Not too many surprises then, it’s all good, with even a Warzone 2.0 that (also) works wonders on its side. In other words, Call of Duty is launching a new era in a successful way, and it is clearly pleasing.

Want more guns, explosions all over the place? So let us introduce you to Rollerdrome, the latest originality from Roll 7 (Olli Olli World) studio. In general, you are in the future, and humanity is obsessed with a new kind of sport: people, on rollerblades – in arenas – where the outcome is literally fatal. Through it all, you play as a rider who will gradually become the best in his discipline. But in other words, Rollerdrome shines above all with this stylish gameplay and very nice to hold. In addition to rolling upside down, upside down, on the walls, to have more weapons available, it is necessary for example to perform numbers to recover the bullets.
SIFU
We end with one of the great surprises at the beginning of 2022: SIFU – developed by Sloclap studio (Absolver). Nice surprise because it features an original concept, a real gameplay mastery. Basically, here you want to take revenge on a Kung-Fu master and have to go through several places to do it. But, every time you die, your personality growing old, which has the effect of decreasing your life but increasing your strength. In sum, it is therefore necessary to do everything and go as far as possible without failing! As you progress, you’ll also be able to unlock new martial arts skills and techniques. In other words, it is original and completely well made.
