Buying a PS5 from Amazon on 12/08 – Ordering new bundles now during a big promotion?

November is a very strong month for PS5 restocking and Amazon is on the front line. But what was going on with the mail-order giant in December?

Update from 08.12.2022, 07:45: As of this morning, you still can’t buy a PS5 on Amazon without an invite. We expect the bundles to be available later today. Throughout the month of December, the mail-order giant wants to offer Sony consoles to its customers. The big pre-order action still has to last until December 22 – the delivery deadline is usually set for January 2023, but we’re getting a lot of information about the PS5 consoles that have already shipped (which therefore arrived in time for Christmas).

Update of 07/12/2022 at 07:59: No console – for now – is available on Amazon. However, the mail-order giant proved to be THE quintessential drop-off point in December and has been unlocking new contingents to order since the launch of Sony’s big pre-order action on December 1 – almost everyday.

The action continues until December 22 and it is quite possible that Amazon will add some before then, maybe even on Wednesday. Also, Wednesday is generally considered THE Amazon day. So we recommend keeping an eye on Amazon in the next hours, days and weeks, until December 22. It’s likely that there will be new things coming.

Update 01.12.2022, 08:09: A new month begins and Amazon is once again one of the most promising fall candidates. The mail-order giant is believed to have a good chance of going down by Christmas. In general, Amazon should only be interesting again next week, but after a fun month of November, everything is really expected and the online retail giant has already dropped on Thursday and Friday. Therefore, we recommend that you keep an eye on Amazon today and tomorrow, at least from the corner of your eye.

Granted, there are currently no visible signs of an impending decline, but the mail-order giant is generally getting more exciting by the week. And Wednesday is considered Amazon day. So it’s possible that the online retail giant once again wants to participate in the drop craze, where thousands of PS5 hunters got their hands on the coveted PS5 console yesterday.

Yesterday was the PlayStation Direct (for the 11th time in November), Medimax, OTTO, Saturn, MediaMarkt and GameStop really dropped the PS5, lots of bundles and until today sales continue at GameStop, MediaMarkt and Saturn! Sony has promised more supplies for the year-end celebrations and this is most clearly felt in November. Almost all major traders have gone down several times this month. In the middle, it is therefore considered that it is quite possible that Amazon can also go up a gear – in Germany and/or in other European countries.

As a precaution, we will therefore monitor the online retail giant more closely today, during traditional Amazon hours (Wednesday, 9:00 am to 11:30 am).
