Released in August 2020, Spiritfarer is a “cosy” management game that deals with darker and more mature themes than it appears. You play as Stella, a ferryman of souls who meets many spirits to join her. Your goal is to manage the construction of your ship to transport their souls to the afterlife, while exploring a very complete map in a game that also hits the adventure register. In addition, Spiritfarer can be played in co-op, to make the experience even more memorable! Remember that This “Farewell” edition includes the original game as well as all its additional content, a massive promotion for a great title, rated 17/20 on JV and which is without a shadow of a doubt one of the best independent games available on the hybrid console of Nintendo.

Castlevania Advance Collection at €11.99 instead of €19.99
Released in September 2021, the Castlevania Advance Collection is a compilation of 4 titles from the legendary license of Konamiconsisting of three opus released on gameboy advance as well as Castlevania: Vampire’s Kiss (or Dracula X). This superb collection not only brings together several cult titles from the legendary franchise that started a genre all by itself, but also offers a whole bunch of bonuses like a gallery of unreleased sketches from the development archives, an encyclopedia and a music player. Besides this, you can “switch” between Japanese, American and European versions, and have a quick save and rewind mode like a “savestate” that makes it easier to play like in any emulator. A compilation of excellent quality as evidenced by the score of 16/20 we gave JV.

Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King at €3.74 instead of €14.99
Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King is an action-RPG released in March 2017. You play as Lily, the rose-clad warrior armed with her sword, and you have to fight your way through dungeons full of enemies to reach Crocus, who put the leader of the Blossom Kingdom to sleep. As with many genre titles, The heroine has a large range of attacks and defense moves and can use many items and magic to evolve and fight. With high-quality art direction reminiscent of 16-bit era RPGs, Blossom Tales is intended to be an interactive story, told by a grandfather to his grandchildren through changing the course of events, and collected during the relatively good reviews, as evidenced by the 15/20 awarded in our columns. At such a low price, it would be a shame to miss out!

Attack on Titan 2 (AOT 2) at €34.99 instead of €69.99
Here is a rather special case: if the applied promotion is suitable but not exceptional, you should know that Attack on Titan 2 is… one of the least common and most difficult games to find in the box version on Nintendo Switch. So, as required by the (sad) law of the market, the physical edition of the title published by Koei-Tecmo almost impossible to find at a good price, and it is better to refer to the dematerialized to play it at a fair price. This is mainly where the 50% reduction applied here lies, allowing you to enjoy this wonderful action game that received a score of 16/20 in JV. As a reminder, Attack on Titan 2 is based on the popular anime inspired by the manga by Hajime Isayama, set after the events of Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom and picked up the events of Season 2 of the anime.

Outlast 2, a direct sequel to… Outlast, is a first-person survival-horror acclaimed for its particularly anxiety-inducing aspect. You play as cameraman Blake Langermann, along with his wife Lynn, who investigates stories as mysterious as these, and in this case the killing of an unidentified pregnant girl. Do you still want ? The publisher’s description states that the investigation “takes you deep into the Arizona desert, into a darkness so deep that no one can escape it, a corruption like madness is likely to be your only refuge.” » Outlast 2 is a stiflingly paced title that keeps its promises well in its field, without being too important to its genre. (as indicated by our 14/20 from its release in 2018), but at such a low price, admit that it is tempting to give in to the desire to live a disgusting experience!

MLB The Show 22 at €9.59 instead of €59.99
A curiosity of the Nintendo Switch catalog, being the only “PlayStation Studios” title available on the console, MLB The Show 22 is a title published by sony and developed by a dedicated studio in San Diego. The latest iteration of this annual simulation immerses you a season of MLB (the official American baseball league) where you can play a race or play online. Although intended for an English-speaking public, this license remains a reference for baseball fans, as evidenced by 16/20 of our test. To notice that the Switch version of the game defends itself in terms of performance, hence its presence in this selection, not to mention the particularly sensational reduction that brings it to less than 10 €!

Quite a proper alternative to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, this episode of the franchise published by Xseed Games also offers a slow enough speed, along with its excellent content, to keep you busy for a very long time.

Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas at €3.74 instead of €14.99
Often considered an alternative to Zelda, Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas is an action-adventure game released in 2013 that takes place in an isometric 3D view. Carried by a maritime atmosphere reminiscent of a The Wind Waker, Oceanhorn is a great title in its genre, designed mostly for exploration, treasures and mystery, with great artistic direction and a great soundtrack, partially composed by master Nobuo Uematsu (that’s all). Awarded a well-deserved 17/20 on JV, and technically solid on Nintendo Switch, it’s one of those hidden gems.

Finally, we suggest you finish this selection with Jotun: Valhalla Edition, a remastered version released in 2016 of Jotun, an independent action-adventure game based on Norse mythology. Carrying an impressive artistic direction and allowing original dubbing in Icelandic, the title of Thunder Lotus Games is a love letter to a fantastical universe through the story of Thora, a Viking fallen in battle. You’ll play as him on his quest to access Valhalla, where he’ll need to impress the gods to earn his place in paradise in this title rated 15/20 in JV in its original 2015 edition.
