Asking the weather with “Tàr”

DIn another life, Todd Field was an actor. In Eyes closed, Stanley Kubrick’s last film, he played the role of a satanic pianist who opens the doors of a secret orgy to Tom Cruise. Now it floats like Kubrick perfume Tar, a hugely ambitious film that makes excellent use of classical music (notably Mahler’s Fifth), an immersion into the complex psychology of a brilliant and twisted, hilarious and dangerous conductor, played by Cate Blanchett with the skill we know he. As with Kubrick, the apparent coldness of the performance, the effect of the unreality of certain sequences forces the viewer to constantly question what he is seeing. The result is a fascinating and magical work that is considered a classic… and which, after the Venice prize and a Golden Globe, should win several Oscars.

The French pope of the dancefloor is here again. Saturday January 28, DJ Laurent Garnier brings back his love of disco for a three-hour set. Laurent Garnier will be surrounded all night by DJs from the Loft Babies collective, Danny Fortunato and Antoine Feraud, as well as Franck Roger. The setting in which they will perform is promising. It is at the New Theater Station of Vitry-sur-Seine, a former freight station 1,500 m2 fully furnished. Saturday Night Fever!

Fight the passage of time with Françoise Cadol

Betty has two secrets. Her name is not “Betty”, but Martine. And best of all, it never gets old. He realized this after his thirtieth birthday when a photographer friend offered to take his picture regularly. Where other artist models have seen their features deepen year after year, Betty has remained irresistibly young. At first, imperceptible, the gap between the appearance of this woman and her real age becomes more noticeable after 40 years. She will start causing problems for him when his wife scolds him for wearing “looks that don’t tell their story” and, even worse, when he is taken for the sister and then for the companion of.. .his son!

Adapted from a beautiful novel by Grégoire Delacourt, this show subtly revisits the myth of eternal youth by pushing Betty to choose between being and showing. Françoise Cadol perfectly adapts and interprets this charming character. His voice may be familiar to you. Normal. He was, for many years, the French voice of American actresses Sandra Bullock, Angelina Jolie and Patricia Arquette.
