Renault Morocco: a decade of achievements in the national automotive market
Renault Maroc has achieved a record performance over the past 10 years, gaining a 16.3% market share. Despite the downward trend in the Moroccan market (PC + LCV) of 8% compared to 2021, marked by inflation and the crisis in household purchasing power, the Renault brand stands out by increasing its volume and recording of its market share increase of 2.8 %, the best performance in the national market.
For the 13th consecutive year, the Renault brand ranks second in the national market and continues to grow in value-creating segments, recording a record volume of 26,385 sales in 2022, an increase of 11.4% compared to 2021 .
Backed by a complete range, the Renault brand is positioned in the TOP 10 of passenger car sales with two models: Express (3rd) and Clio (6th).
MEGANE AND EXPRESS VP, LEADERS IN THEIR RESPECTIVE SEGMENTS & EXPRESS VP, THE BRAND’S BEST SELLER IN 2022
By the end of 2022, Express recorded an exceptional performance of 12,219 sales and a 67.6% segment share.
Launched a year and a half ago in Morocco, the Express is the best selling brand and the 3rd best selling vehicle in the Kingdom in 2022, all brands combined, a pride for made in Morocco.
Clio is third in its segment with 17.9% of sales. Occupying 6th place on the best-selling podium in Morocco, Clio recorded 5,984 sales.
In a dynamic and highly competitive market segment, Mégane consolidates its leading position in the C Hatchback segment for the 6th consecutive year with 999 units sold and 18.9% segment share .
In a very dynamic B SUV segment, the Captur recorded a volume of 1,321 units sold, representing a segment share of 17.4% and thus positioning itself in the top 3 of its segment.
RENAULT MOROCCO, NO. 1 BRAND IN THE LIGHT & EXPRESS COMMERCIAL VEHICLE MARKET VAN & MASTER, LEADERS IN THEIR RESPECTIVE SEGMENTS
Renault Morocco confirms its leading position in the LCV market with a market share of 26.5%, thanks to its three main models: Master, Express Van & Trafic.
By the end of 2022, the Express Van is positioned as the No. 1 in the TOP 10 sales of the utility vehicle market.
In the large van segment, Master confirmed the No. 1 position for the third consecutive year, with a 25.3% segment share. Offering many modification possibilities, the Master recorded a sales volume of 1636 by the end of 2022.
In the van segment, the Express VAN beat the sales record with an exceptional segment share of 91.5%, the best seller in the LCV market recorded a total volume of 2,882, thus consolidating the brand’s position in the passenger segment .
In the small part of the van, Traffic is 2nd in its segment with 322 units sold and
26.7% part of the segment.
IN 2023, RENAULT MOROCCO LAUNCHES ITS E-TECH RANGE WITH THE LAUNCH OF 4 ELECTRIC MODELS
In 2023, Renault Morocco will continue its offensive in the Moroccan market with the launch of its new complete Renault E-Tech range, offering E-Tech full hybrid and E-Tech 100% electric technology.
With the introduction of the new E-TECH models, Renault is adding more choice and versatility to its engine offering. The brand offers access to an electrified solution for all uses.
In Morocco, Renault will start its electrification with the launch of 4 E-Tech models, namely:
- Megane E-Tech 100% electric
These 4 models will consolidate the brand’s C-segment position in the Kingdom and pave the way for other electrified models.
